 Good morning, teachers and friends. The topic of my speech today is "Save Our Earth". Do you know that Earth is our only home in this universe? Earth is the only planet which is able to support and sustain life.However, Earth is fast becoming an unhealthy place for all of us to live in. We have polluted the environment and destroyed many of its flora and fauna. We have carelessly cut down trees, killed wildlife and destroyed the homes of many birds, fishes and animals. These flora and fauna are a source of food for man and animals. They can also be used as medicines. The trees are important as they protect the environment. Our irresponsible activities such as open burning, excessive use of harmful chemicals and plastics, and the improper dispocal of rubbish and wastes have caused air, land and water pollutions. This in turn has caused climatic changes. The Earth is getting hotter every years. Dear friends, we can play a part in saving our Earth. We need to use less plastics, dispose rubbish properly, and support recycling of wastes. So let us join hands and make the Earth a better place for ourselves and for our future generations. Thank you. |
